Sarah Katharina Kayß

Sarah was born in Koblenz (Germany) in 1985 and grew up in the Ruhr district. Supported by her parents from an early age, she joined a theatre company at age six and learned to play different instruments. She began writing at the age of 15 and was first published by Libus, a German literary magazine, two years later. During sixth form, Sarah took acting lessons according to the Lee Strasberg method under Tony Glaser, and singing lessons from the opera singer Dagmar Linde.

Over the years, she developed a passion for the Theatre of the Absurd, which led her to take the entrance exam at the Folkwang University of the Arts to study Directing.

Sarah is the editor of The Transnational, a literary magazine. She is also a talented photographer and artist.
